Can I take a tour?
Please call or email to schedule a tour. However, for the safety of your dog and our guests, please do not bring your dog in for a tour prior to having vet records faxed so we may validate the pet has received the required vaccinations. During busy weekends or holiday weekends we will not be giving tours due to the high volume of dogs we have staying with us.

How do I make a reservation?
What time are check-in and checkout for hotel stays?
Check-in can occur anytime during our lobby hours. Checkout is 1pm on day of departure. If you cannot pick up by 1pm, a $22 fee will be added.
Do I need to make a Day Camp reservation?
Day Camp does tend to fill up fast on a daily basis. Yes, a reservation is required for Camp. You can also make a standing reservation if you know what days you plan to come. This way, your pooch will always have a spot at Dog Days.
What are your stay requirements?
We require a veterinarian certificate indicating proof of vaccination for Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella. We recommend the Bordetella vaccination be administered every 6 months, within the year is required. If the Bordetella vaccine has never been given, or if it has expired, a 7 day waiting period is required after the administration.
For all other vaccinations, a 24 hour waiting period is required after the first administration of a vaccination or if it has expired. Have your vet fax us a copy at 605-275-3644 or upload these to your account.
All guests must be treated with an effective form of flea control and monthly heartworm prevention.
Guests who would like to attend Day Camp must be spayed or neutered. Guests who are in need of overnight boarding stays & who are not spayed or neutered are welcom in the facility, but an additional fee will be applied.

Why so much time?
Our 7 day policy ensures that guests with little or no immunity have not been exposed accidentally and infected with an illness while visiting their veterinarian to get vaccinated. While seemingly strict, this approach to disease management has helped reduce the occurrence of kennel cough at Dog Days Hotel and Day Camp.
What should I bring with my dog?
As many dogs are sensitive to sudden dietary changes, we require owners to provide dogs' regular food. By request, we can prepare specialized meals, including cooking or thawing if required. If your dog is on medication, we can administered (see below). You are also welcome to bring treats, greenies and rawhides.
For Day Camp, nothing is required. We do not provide meals for Camp dogs.

How much food should I bring?
Placing food in preportioned baggies for each meal is preferred. Unless absolutely necessary due to the size of the dog or the length of the stay, please do not bring large food containers/bags as we have limited storage space.
Will you give my dog their medication?
No problem. We can administer any non-injectable medication. Just make sure medication is clearly labeled and dosage instructions are included. Please include any food item needed for administering medications (ex: bread, peanut butter, pill pockets, etc.). An additional charge will be assessed for each time medications are administered using Dog Days provided pill pockets or if medication must be orally forced. Dogs with excess medication (greater than 5) and/or medications that must be administered frequently (more than twice a day) may be charged a higher nightly rate.
My dog is diabetic. Will you administer insulin injections?
Yes, we are able to administer insulin injections. Please ensure you provide enough insulin & needles for the length of stay. It's also a good idea to include glucose tabs or other method in case needed.
Can I bring my dog’s bed and bowl?
As a full-service dog hotel, we provide the comforts of home including premium dog bedding and bowls. Overnight guests are welcome to bring personal items only if they do not disrupt other guests and you are comfortable with your dog having those items unsupervised. Dog Days cannot guarantee the condition of items upon check out and is not responsible for any lost or damaged items. If items are continuously soiled and/or destroyed, they may be pulled from the kennel and a $10 cleaning fee may apply.
What is included in the daily rate for my dog?
Each room is private and includes comfortable bedding and bowls. Guests will enjoy plenty of play-time in the indoor or outdoor areas. Best of all, there is no shortage of love, cuddles and belly rubs.
Is your facility secure?
Our hotel also features security and smoke detection systems that alert local police and fire departments in the event of an emergency.
What if my dog doesn’t play well with others?
If your dog is not social, or requires one-on-one attention, for the safety of our guests, he or she is required to participate in private play sessions and/or walks for an additional charge. Please note that Dog Days has sole discretion on whether dogs may take part in social activities. This applies to boarding dogs only including non-spayed or neutered dogs. Limited space is available for these dogs.
My dog have never been around other dogs. Is that ok?
As long as your dog is not aggressive toward other dogs or our staff, we will help them get integrated into the group and help them make friends.
Is your facility clean?
We pride ourselves on maintaining an extremely clean facility. Our HVAC system has an air exchange system that also helps in maintaining clean and fresh air throughout our facility. However, no matter how much we clean, dogs carry germs jusy like little kids in school or at daycare.
Does someone stay overnight?
No, we do not typically stay the night at the facility unless someone needs special attention. We do staff our facility from 6am to 10pm so your dog will get plenty of attention and potty breaks. They play a lot during the day, so they need to be left to rest overnight.
What if I need to cancel my reservation?
For non-holidays, please notify us of your cancellation 24 hours in advance. For holiday reservations, please notify us one week in advance. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance for non-holiday reservations will incur a one night's stay charge. Cancellations made less than one week in advance for holidays with a 3-night minimum stay, will incur a 3-night charge. Holidays that require a 3-night minimum stay include Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. If a guest has already checked in and the owner decides to check the guest out prior to a night's stay, the owner will still be charged the applicable boarding fee. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express or cash.
